Last Friday, August 6, the Annual Audit with Change of Scope of Forest Management (FM) and Chain Custody (CoC) under the standards of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)[1] to the group Green Gold Forestry Peru S.A. (GGF Peru S.A.) culminated. (GGF). The evaluation verified compliance with the 10 principles and 52 certification criteria in the 175,561 hectares of Amazonian forests that GGF manages, which are located in the Mazán and Napo districts of the Maynas, province in the Loreto region.
Since 2008, GGF has held FSC certification in Forest Management (FM) and Chain of Custody (CoC), evidencing its commitment to forest management and conservation and respect for the indigenous communities and local populations settled along the rivers surrounding the company’s area of influence.
The company is focused on operating under high standards of environmental and social responsibility, with the objective of demonstrating that profitable, sustainable and inclusive business models can be developed and implemented.
