Under the slogan “Companies that sow a more sustainable future”, Reforestamos México A.C. and their local strategic partner AIDER Perú presented us with this award in recognition of our work as a comprehensive, innovative, and inspiring business initiative with positive impacts on Peru’s forests.
Through our “Sustainable Management of Forest Concessions” initiative, supported by USAID and in partnership with the Federation of Native Communities of the Middle Napo (FECONAMN) and its member communities, we continue to work towards the sustainable development of local populations.
Raúl Dance, our COO, received the award on behalf of the company, accompanied by Adme Aspajo, president of FECONAMN. Both emphasized the importance of considering and treating native communities as “true partners” in the sustainable management of the forest. Adme also highlighted how GGF’s activities have driven the development of partner communities, ensuring land tenure and governance, developing productive projects, providing environmental education, and empowering indigenous women, thus contributing to a more sustainable future for the Amazon and its people.
This award reaffirms our mission to preserve forests and improve the quality of life for those who depend on them. Thank you to all our partners for your support!
